REMOVING A LIGHTINTHEDARK MODERATOR’S STATUS - GUIDELINES

Removing a person’s ops status is only to be considered as a last alternative. The procedures are outline below.

1. Three people are needed to bring about a “ call for removal ” Each person needs to make their “ call for removal “ public by the modlist lightmods@yahooka.com

2. At that time a leader needs to be chosen by the group requesting removal. The leader will detail charges on why the person should be removed from ops status.

3. After the leader has stated the charges for removal, the person that is being faced with removal needs to defend him or herself against the charges. The person can either do this on their own or assign a representative to defend them. The representative needs to be a op status to qualify.

4. After both sides have presented their cases all members will have to opportunity to ask questions from either party regarding this action. After sufficient discussion has taken place then a vote will proceed.

5. To remove a member from op status a 66% of  votes is needed. A member can either vote YES for removal, NO for removal, or they can abstain from voting. Voting is to be open on the list. The voting period will be 1 week. After 1 week a tally will be made and the results will be known.
