Community Guidelines for the Chat and Message board

 

 Must read guidelines before entering Chat room and using the Message Board

 

Respect other people, including thoughts, opinions, and feelings.   We are all here for support, friendship and communicating.  Help make this a safe place for all.

 We do not tolerate racism, child pornography, gay bashing, or any other form of hatred or discrimination.  Sexual comments should be kept to a minimum and not to be used as hostility toward other members.   

Attacks and provocation of others is prohibited in both chat and the message board and will result in banning.  There is no positive outcome from such behavior..

 Repeating yourself , excessive swearing, rude or crude behavior, insults and name calling is not welcome.

 

Please avoid triggering topics in the main chat room.  Private chat is available for discussions that may upset the main room.  If unsure whether your discussion is triggering, ask others in the main room.

 

Profanity/swearing/sexual comments should be kept to a minimum and not to be used as hostility toward other members.

 

Attacks and provocation of others is prohibited in both chat and the message board and will result in banning.  There is no positive outcome from such behavior.

 Anonymous  posting on the message board is prohibited and will be removed.

 

Sensitive subjects on the message board should have the word "trigger" in the title so that each person can keep himself/herself safe.

 

Please remember that the ops (mods) are people with problems too.  They are here to troubleshoot issues, and promote a safe environment.  They are not psychologists, therapists, or police officers.  They have bad days like everyone else.

Immediate kick/bannable offenses:

1. Mass cloning in the chat room on the server -this should need no warning ( mass meaning more then 3)

2. Continual flood attempts in channel or directly at any mod

3. Sending chatter to bad web site

4. Sending virus to chatters via DCC or personal hacking attempts, but with proof. This should be pasted from status if on IRC or from your firewall. This should then be sent to the modlist for consensus and action.

5. Severe abuse in channel ( continual cursing, female abuse, racial, ect)

IMMEDIATE Kicks the don’t require bans :

1 Directly attacking a chatter in channel

2 Conspiracy against the peaceful environment of the chat room

3 Impersonating an AOP or other chatter in the channel

 

Kicks the should be warned first:

 

1. CAPLOCK ( this means someone is yelling in the room)

2. Refusal to comply with the mods ( nicks, fighting, or general bullshit )

3. Flooding channel ( script pop ups, text, and sounds )

4. Idling in the channel for an hour with no answer to a query by an op (excludes ops themselves)

 Operator status is a  gift , asking for it not necessary.
